![]() ![]() SSB Ultimate will target high performance, too, but on here, there's a general dishonesty about what the Switch "can't handle", and it's presented under the veil of "discussion", when in actuality, it's everything to do with console warrior BS, and video game gatekeeping of the worst kind. That point alone should be enough to shut these voices up, but they persist. I could've pointed out that ARMS has a locked 60FPS, and that game takes place in 3D arenas, which are duplicated in a split-screen mode. There's an image of DBFZ on a low-end PC going around the Internet Many on here thought the Switch version would need a lot of downgrades, but it will run at 1080p with 60FPS. I don't believe that Switch support would be anywhere near what it is right now, if the Switch was already at that point, ESPECIALLY from Bethesda.īTW, One other point that gets lost with "Could it run on Switch?" is that PCs with lower levels of performance than the Switch are often targeted, so, when people on here talk about games "being held back by hardware", they're not being slick, and they're full of BS. To my mind, those are potentially comparable titles. I would suspect that Metroid Prime 4 will target 60FPS, as this was the case with the preceding trilogy. In addition to scalability, performance and efficiency gains are a thing, and it's also foolish to presume that the Switch has hit a ceiling in terms of its abilities - To give a specific example, a lot of people presume that Doom 2016 has pushed the Switch to its limits. It's entirely plausible, or, at least, possible that a more modern architecture could respond better to newer design tools, and that they could be better optimised for it. "Also, that a game performs badly on XB1/PS4 doesn't necessarily mean it'll be even worse on the Switch. ![]()
