But trust me, you will improve faster if you try to build new layouts and styles rather then converting old stuff. You also mentioned that this is your 3rd map and it is really well done for a 3rd map. Adding enough detail to make your map visually interesting will drop the framerates a LOT because of the open approach you used (you can nearly see the whole map from the top of each building). Your map-layout so far is mainly two big squares in space with 2 greek-architectural-styled bases. As mentioned above Xonotic-maps should provide more detail. To be honest: I would suggest you to build a new map rather than converting this one to xonotic. So: use everything that is allowed that you want. Mikee's textures are GPL and if this map will be licensed as such, nobody will have a case anyway. The ground: it'd be nice if you could make some more "organic" looking terrain ![]() : are those pink things both shields? Personally, I don't think it's a good idea to have powerups really close together. The buildings: you should have more detail and textural variation.
